Supperbird is local-first: your meal preferences, generated plans, recipes, and checked shopping items stay on your device. App versions with analytics collect only optional, pseudonymous product events. We do not sell personal information or use advertising trackers.

1. Summary

This Privacy Policy explains how Supperbird handles information when you use the Supperbird mobile application, website, and support channels. It applies to the current Supperbird beta and will be updated if our data practices change.

2. Information we handle

Information stored on your device

The app stores your weekly budget, household size, dietary selection, cuisine preferences, desired foods, ingredient exclusions, prep-time preference, generated meal plan, and shopping-list progress locally on your device. Supperbird does not currently transmit this information to our servers.

Purchase information

If you start or restore a subscription, Apple processes the transaction. Supperbird receives limited subscription-status information needed to unlock paid features. We do not receive your full payment-card number. Apple’s handling of purchase data is governed by Apple’s own terms and privacy policy.

Optional pseudonymous product analytics

App versions that include analytics use a random installation identifier and random per-launch session identifier to measure bounded events such as app opens, onboarding steps, plan generation, recipe and shopping-list use, paywall views, plan selections, and normalized purchase or restore outcomes. Analytics are on by default and can be turned off in Settings. These events do not include requested foods, ingredient exclusions, exact budgets, full payment details, email addresses, names, advertising identifiers, or free-form text.

Support communications

If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address, message, device details, or screenshots. Please do not send sensitive health, financial, or authentication information.

Website information

The public website is served by our hosting provider, which may process ordinary technical request information such as IP address, browser type, timestamps, and security logs to deliver and protect the site. We do not currently place advertising or behavioral-analytics cookies.

3. How information is used

We use information only to provide app functionality, remember local preferences, understand aggregate feature adoption and conversion, determine subscription access, respond to support requests, secure and operate the website, diagnose failures, and comply with applicable obligations.

4. When information is shared

We may rely on service providers strictly as needed to operate Supperbird, including Apple for App Store distribution and purchases and Cloudflare for website hosting, security, and storage of anonymous product events. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect people or rights, or as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal information.

5. Retention and deletion

Local app data remains on your device until you use “Reset local data,” clear the app’s storage, or delete the app. Pseudonymous analytics events are retained for no more than 400 days. Short-lived, pseudonymous abuse-prevention records protect analytics ingestion and the private dashboard and expire after the applicable security window. Support messages are retained only as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, maintain records, prevent abuse, or meet legal obligations. Apple retains purchase records under its own policies.

6. Your choices

You can turn pseudonymous product analytics off in Supperbird Settings. Doing so clears queued events and the random installation identifier on the device; turning analytics back on creates a new random identifier. You can reset local app data from Settings or remove it by deleting the app. You can manage or cancel subscriptions from your Apple ID subscription settings. You may ask about or request deletion of support information by emailing support@supperbird.com. Because Supperbird has no user accounts or cloud plan storage, we generally do not hold a server-side meal-planning profile to export or delete.

7. Children

Supperbird is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can address it.

8. Security and international use

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the current service, but no storage or transmission method is completely secure. Website and support information may be processed in countries other than your own, where data-protection rules may differ.

9. Changes

We may update this policy as Supperbird changes. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or release notes.
